"LOVE ALWAYS, YOUR MOTHER"
Writing an Embrace for Your Daughter

This page is created for pictures and letters dedicated solely to Mother's that have lost Daughters.

A chance to celebrate the daughter’s we’ve lost.

For the women who have lost daughters, I can not begin to measure of pain you have endured.
I do have to say that I am not a licensed or professional mental health therapist of any kind and can only speak from personal experience. I am however, very experienced in the grieving process and know a great deal about loss.
It’s only right that you have the same opportunity to acknowledge your daughters. I imagine that your heart is the same as mine when it comes to still considering yourself a mother, just as I am still a daughter.
If you haven’t already, maybe you have always wanted to write a letter to your daughter. If you wish, you could write a letter expressing your joyous experiences and memories with your daughter. You could describe her personality or write about your loss. Or you could write a remembrance letter to be posted with her picture.

Here a few reasons you may want to write a letter to your daughter:

  • A chance for closure.

  • Assurance that your not alone.

  • Another chance to heal.

  • It's a powerful way to reconnect to the one's we have lost.

  • A chance to celebrate thier lives.

Do not stand at my grave and weep-
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
